[Feature] 🔎Powerful Filtering: Utilizing Dependency Filters

SmallBuilder Lists provides advanced data filtering by supporting dependency settings between filters. This helps reduce unnecessary data exposure and display only the relevant options, creating a more efficient search environment.

Conditional Searches Using Dependent Fields

By leveraging the Dependency Filter feature, options on dependent picklist fields dynamically adjust based on the selected field’s value. For example, if ‘Software’ is selected in the Category field, only relevant options in the Family field related to Software will be displayed, such as ‘Software License’.

How to Set Up a Dependency Filter

Configuring a Dependency Filter in SmallBuilder Lists is simple, Follow these steps:

1. Click Add Filter() to add dependency fields.
2. Click the Pencil Icon() next to the added field and enable Dependency Setting () to activate.

3. Click Add Dependency() and choose dependent picklist fields. (If there is no relevant dependent fields, no lists will be shown.)
4. Check Rename to modify the Label (Optional).

Filtering by Record Type

SmallBuilder Lists provides not only dependent filters but also filters based on record types. If different picklist values are assigned to each record type, users will only see picklist values associated with their profile’s record type.

☑️ If RecordTypeId is not added to the filter: Users can view picklist values based on their profile’s default record type.

☑️ If RecordTypeId is added to the filter: The picklist values will be initialized based on the selected record type’s dependent options.
